Cancellation Policy
  • If you would like to cancel your DJ Workshop or project the following cancellation policy will apply:
  • If notice of cancellation is given at least 30 days before the workshop, no fee shall be payable to the facilitator.
  • If notice of cancellation is given between 14 and 29 days before the workshop, 50% of the total payment shall be paid to the facilitator.
  • If less than 14 days’ notice is given, the full fee shall be paid to the facilitator.
  • If you have made a booking for multiple sessions, the cancellation terms above apply to your first workshop only. Any workshops after the first DJ Workshop are payable at 100%.
  • If the facilitator is unable to provide the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather-related issues, illness, etc) notice will be given as soon as possible, up to the session.
Payments
  • Payment for the workshops must be made within 7 days following the last session.
  • Payment can be submitted via cheque or BACS. Invoices will be issued to the address specified on the booking form, within 5 working days following the final workshop.
Booking
  • Bookings for workshops are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The booking will be confirmed only after the following steps are taken:
  • The 'booking form' is entirely filled out and signed by the customer and sent to the facilitator.
  • The customer receives a final confirmation email.
Re-scheduling
  • To reschedule a workshop, the individual who made the booking must send an email to the DJ Workshop team, specifying the original date and time of the session and the preferred new date and time. The team will check availability and provide confirmation. Please allow a minimum of 30 days' notice; otherwise, cancellation terms will apply.

Tutors
  • We cannot guarantee that the same tutor will be available for your project or workshop. However, you may make a request for a specific tutor, and 'DJ Workshops' will make every effort to assign your preferred tutor.
Certificates
  • ‘DJ Workshop’ certificates will be provided to participants for specific workshops/projects, excluding the taster session. There is a limit of 15 certificates per project.
Refusing Tuition
  • We reserve the right to refuse tuition to abusive students. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse to our staff or equipment. Our team will notify a staff member if we have refused tuition to any persons.
Feedback & Complaints
Travel Expenses
  • The cost for transportation will be £0.45 per mile, in addition to a setup fee of £75 per hour, which may vary based on the venue's location.
  • Any toll charges encountered and parking charges, if not provided by the designated individual on the booking form, will be included in the invoice.
Merchandise
  • For large orders of merchandise, please provide a minimum of 30 days' notice. Alternatively, you can inform us of the required number of units up until the day before the session.
Photos & Videos
  • Prior to taking pictures or videos of workshop attendees for promotional use on our website or social media, we will always seek your consent. The information will be kept by our facilitators.
Damage
  • The individual identified in the contract is responsible for any damage caused to the equipment used during their workshop.
Music
  • Although music is regulated during the workshop or event, there may be instances where a song containing profanity or explicit language is played.
Time & Date
  • The date and time of the workshop or event will be clearly specified in the booking form and mutually approved by both parties.
Generator
  • The individual identified on the booking form has the responsibility to confirm with the council/local district that a petrol generator is authorised for use at the designated event. The generator will be positioned in a secure location pre approved by the named person or assigned staff member, but it will not be under constant supervision during the session. Tons of Sound is not liable for any unauthorised access or contact with the generator by individuals.
Gazebo
  • The individual identified on the booking form is responsible for determining the placement of the gazebo at the event location. While the DJ Workshops team will make every effort to anchor the gazebo securely, they are not liable if it becomes dislodged and takes flight. The decision to utilize the gazebo on the day of the event lies with the named person on the booking form, but cancellation policies still apply.
Zoom
  • The individual identified on the booking form or an assigned staff member must provide continuous supervision of the entire session to ensure that there is no use of inappropriate language, cyberbullying, sharing explicit images, or verbal/emotional abuse via video or chat.
Air Dancer
  • The individual identified on the booking form is responsible for designating a secure location for the air dancer that’s 20 feet high, complete with a barrier to prevent individuals from coming into contact with the unit. While the tons of sound team will make every effort to deter people from approaching, they are not accountable if someone makes contact with the unit or if it becomes dislodged and flies away. The named person on the booking form has the authority to determine if the air dancer can be utilized on the day of the event; nevertheless, the cancellation policy remains in effect. The Tons of Sound team may switch the air dancing unit off during adverse weather conditions.
Silent Disco Kit
  • The person specified on the booking form is responsibility for any headphones that are damaged or go missing during the silent disco event. A fee of £50 per headphone will be charged for each instance of damage or loss. While our team will diligently supervise and care for the equipment, we cannot guarantee complete control over individual headphone volumes. It is the user's responsibility to exercise caution and discretion when adjusting the volume and we do not accept liability for any consequences arising from user-initiated volume increases.
Inflatable Night Club
  • By booking an event at the inflatable nightclub, the person specified on the booking form assumes full responsibility for any damage caused to the inflatable structure during the event. While our team will actively monitor guest behaviour to ensure a safe environment, any damage to the inflatable will result in a charge of £2,500, which will be incurred by the individual named on the booking form.
